SAN FRANCISCO, CA September 26, 2018: Giant inflatable Ben and Jerrys pint at Salesforce Dreamforce conference
Ice cream brand Ben & Jerry's will no longer sell ice cream to Jews, bowing to Palestinian pressure campaigns and claiming that selling there is "inconsistent" with the company's values.
According to Reuters , the South Burlington, Vermont-based company, which is owned by Britain's Unilever Plc (ULVR.L), has come under pressure from pro-Palestinian groups over its business in Israel and Jewish settlements in the West Bank, which It has been operated through a licensed partner since 1987.
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, whose party Chile Mobile Number List favors Jewish settlements in the West Bank, said Ben & Jerry's was making a "morally wrong" decision.

More than 440,000 Israeli settlers live uneasily among some 3 million Palestinians in the West Bank, land that Israel seized and occupied in a 1967 war but that Palestinians say is the heart of a future state.
Most countries consider Israeli settlements on Palestinian lands to be illegal. Israel denies it.
Ben & Jerry's said it would not renew its licensing agreement with its Israeli partner when it expires at the end of next year. However, it will remain in Israel under a different agreement, with no sales in the Palestinian territories.
Unilever, in a separate statement, said it remains "fully committed" to its presence in Israel. He also noted that he has always recognized Ben & Jerry's right to "make decisions about its social mission."
"We also welcome the fact that Ben & Jerry's remains in Israel," he shared. Ben & Jerry's operates a manufacturing plant and two stores in Israel, which it describes on its website as located "outside the occupied territories, just south of Tel Aviv."
We welcome the decision of any company to end its work and investments in Israeli settlements.
Wasel Abu Youssef, a senior official in the Palestine Liberation Organization.
For his part, Bennett, from Israel, said:
There are many brands of ice cream, but only one Jewish State.
The boycott against Israel - a democracy surrounded by islands of terrorism - reflects a complete loss of direction. The boycott does not and will not work, and we will fight it with all our might.
Naftali Bennett, Israeli Prime Minister.
The Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement hailed the move as "a decisive step toward ending the company's complicity in the Israeli occupation and violations of Palestinian rights."
"Ben & Jerry's, a leading international socially responsible company, finally brings its policy on Israel's regime of oppression against Palestinians in line with its progressive positions on Black Lives Matter and other struggles for justice," he said.
