The Madrid Provincial Prosecutor's Office has filed a second complaint for tax fraud against former soccer player Xabi Alonso. The Public Ministry estimates the amount defrauded from the Spanish Treasury in 2013 at 572,008 euros. This complaint expands the crimes of which the footballer is accused.
Next October he will sit in the dock of the Provincial Court to answer for alleged fraud between 2010 and 2012. In the report of the complaint, the Prosecutor's Office recalls that in August 2009 SW Business Directory Xabi Alonso signed a contract with which he "apparently" transferred the exploitation of his image rights to a company based in the Portuguese archipelago of Madeira. The complaint is also directed against Ignasi Maestre, who was listed as administrator of this company until 2014, and against Iván Zaldúa, the soccer player's tax advisor. The Public Ministry considers that both were aware that it was an instrument to evade taxes.

The Prosecutor's Office understands that the transfer of the exploitation of Alonso's image to the Madeira company "was never real and was sought by the defendants with the purpose of not paying to the Public Treasury the taxes that should have been passed on in 2013 to the income.
